PAUL E. MARDIS
DVM
Medical Director & Owner
Dr. Paul Mardis is the dedicated owner and medical director of Lake City Veterinary Clinic. Originally from Illinois, he grew up in a rural community where he was constantly surrounded by animals in barns and pastures. His love for both science and animals naturally led him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in 2001 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2005.
In 2010, Dr. Mardis moved to Utah to embrace the state’s outdoor adventures. He finds the most fulfillment in veterinary medicine through experiencing the human-animal bond, celebrating the joyous moments with pet owners, and offering support during difficult times. His special interests include soft tissue surgery and dentistry, where he enjoys making a direct impact on his patients’ health and well-being.
Outside of the office Dr. Mardis enjoys being the best girl dad to his four daughters, and hiking, gardening, and caring for his backyard flock of chickens and ducks. He also shares his home with a cat and a group of sugar gliders. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Utah Veterinary Medical Association (UVMA), and the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA).
